I am a court room lawyer. This means that I try cases. My mission is not to litigate cases to settlement, but to investigate them, prepare them, and try them before judges and juries.I spent approximately 6 years as a prosecutor, 6 years as a Circuit Judge, and nearly 15 years as an attorney in private practice. I have tried dozens of jury trials and more non-jury proceedings than I can count. As a prosecutor, I handled DUIs, Murders, Racketeering cases and major drug prosecutions. As a judge I presided over Felonies, Juvenile cases, Dependency cases, Divorce and Custody matters, and Domestic Violence cases. In private practice I have handled Personal Injury cases, Criminal Defense cases of all sorts, Divorce and Custody cases, and Domestic Violence proceedings. My experience on both sides of the Bench and of the court room has made me unusually well-prepared to advise you and to see your situation through to a conclusion.
